Shane Foran Chairman of the Galway Cycling Campaign will be giving a Traffic skills for Cyclists seminar Wednesday the 17th September @17h45 - 20h00 at the Galway City Museum

The seminar titled Tips and Tricks for Bicycle Users in City Traffic will be covering the following topics:

The benefits of cycling: Is cycling a risky activity?

  • Legal environment: Rights and obligations
  • How to recognise and avoid potential risks - What accident analysis tells us and what tactics are suggested?
  • Choosing your routes - the route there is not always the best route back. (Also sneaky Galway shortcuts that not everyone knows about!)

Oisin O’Nidh Galway Cycling Campaign will be giving a talk on Cycling’s potential for Galway

  • What is the potential?
  • What are the issues?

Also available will be copies of the Galway Cycling Campaign's "Share the Road" leaflets setting out a range of safe cycling techniques.
